SPCSHS HUMAKOT NG KARANGALAN SA REGIONAL METROBANK-MTAP MATH CHALLENGE

Muling naghakot ng karangalan ang mga estudyante mula sa San Pablo City Science High School (SPCSHS) sa Regional Metrobank-MTAP DepEd Math Challenge Individual and Team category na ginanap sa Padre Valerio Malabanan Memorial School, Lipa City noong Pebrero 27.

Sina Siena Catherine A. Maranan (4th year) at Christian Lloyd A. Tan (3rd year) ay pawang nakamit ang first place sa individual category samantalang si Edsel M. Bondad (1st year) ay nagkamit naman ng ikatlong gantimpala sa nasabing kategorya. Samantala, sa team category nakuha nila Christian Lloyd A. Tan at Bernadine F. Culaban (3rd year) ang 1st place. Tinanghal sina Siena Catherine A. Maranan at Sherilyn Dyan M. Sanchez (4th year) bilang second placer, Edsel Bondad at Clarissa Cacao (1st year) bilang 3rd placer at Gio S. Marasigan at Edlyn R. Gatchalian bilang 4th placer.

Si Mrs. Venus O. Macam ang tumayong coach-trainer ng team first year samantalang si Mr. Albert T. Saul naman sa team 2nd, 3rd at 4th year.

Ito ay muling patunay sa kagalingan ng SPCSHS sa paghubog sa mga estudyanteng may angking kagalingan sa larangan ng Mathematics at Science.

Matatandaan na ang mga mag-aaral ng San Pablo City Science High School ay ang siyang humakot ng lahat ng unang karangalan sa isinagawang Written and Oral math Challenge noong nakaraang Enero, 2009, sa individual at team category sa pagitan ng 22 pribado at pampublikong mga high schools sa Lunsod ng San Pablo. BJMP 4A TO RECRUIT 500 JAIL OFFICERS

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Region 4A has announced the start of recruitment process for the new jail guards to fill up vacancies brought about by attrite personnel and job openings created by bureau expansion program.

BJMP Regional Director J/S Supt Norvel M. Mingoa said that about 500 personnel are needed for these vacancies including 100 slots resulting from the attrition of Jail Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCO) who were separated, died, retired, dropped from the rolls and dismissed by the bureau.

RD Mingoa instructed all jail wardens in Calabarzon to conduct information drive related to recruitment so as to accomplish the best in screening to raise the quality of the recruits.

J/S Insp. Arvin Abastillas, Regional CRS said that successful applicants after completing training set forth by Jail National Training Institute (JNTI) will receive starting gross salary of P15,036.00 a month.

An applicant to be considered must possess the following qualifications: a) a Filipino citizen (b) with good moral character (c) must passed neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical and drug test examination (d) degree holder (e) civil service eligible (f) have not been dishonestly discharged from previous employment (g) not convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude (h) must be 21 to 30 years old (i) 1.62m in height for male, 1.57m for female (j) must weigh not more or less five kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.
